The People's Choice Community Lottery is back, with $2 tickets now on sale to support hundreds of community and not-for-profit groups across Australia.

As always, these great organisations will keep 100% of the money from every ticket they sell and they will be able to do it conveniently and safely because it’s 100% online, with no traditional tickets to physically sell, count or return.

Since its inception, the People's Choice Community Lottery has helped raise more than $20 million for thousands of worthy groups – from sporting clubs and conservation groups to emergency services and local charities.

With a pool of 40 prizes this year worth more than $300,000– INCLUDING THREE CARS – we want to raise more than $1 million to help participating organisations reach their fundraising goals.

"Fundraising can be very difficult, especially if you’re a smaller organisation with limited resources, but the Community Lottery turns that on its head," he said.

"We organise the whole process, securing the prizes, managing the website and advertising, so participating groups can focus entirely on selling tickets. And, of course, they keep every cent from every ticket they sell."

The Community Lottery exemplifies People’s Choice’s longstanding commitment to its communities and members.

"As a member-owned organisation, we’ve always invested significantly in the wellbeing of the communities where our members live and work," Mr Symons said.

"Last financial year we contributed 5.1% of our pre-tax profit to corporate community investment, which is eight times the average contribution made by major Australian companies," he said (source: Giving Large).

"The Community Lottery is a huge part of that, and we’re working to make this year bigger than ever."
