People’s Choice launched its inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in February 2023. Shortly after its launch, Heritage Bank and People’s Choice Credit Union merged. As part of our merger commitments, we pledged to complete all RAP deliverables under our new, unified organisation.

We completed our Reflect RAP in April 2024, thanks to the efforts of our dedicated RAP Working Group and employees across the organisation.

Our Reflect RAP played a crucial role in helping to develop strong relationships with our First Nations’ stakeholders, deepening our understanding of key issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, and shaping our long-term vision for driving positive change.

    Our artwork, Community

    Gabriel Stengle, a proud Kaurna, Ngarrindjeri and Nurrunga woman from South Australia, has created a bespoke piece of art which tells the story of People’s Choice and our Reconciliation Action Plan. Titled 'Community' this piece encompasses all the people who are connected through and by our organisation.

    The centre waterholes represent our three brand pillars:

    Thriving Environments - advocating for positive, ethical and environmental change;
    Thriving Communities -  empowering people through action focused on well-being, resilience, and strength; and
    Thriving Individuals - giving people the confidence and strength to flourish.

    The surrounding waterholes signify the many communities that we serve and how they are connected. Those waterholes are in turn surrounded by the people who are “the heart and centre of what People's Choice stands for” and who we encourage and help empower as individuals and communities.
