People’s Choice is officially certified as carbon neutral for our business operations by the Australian Government’s Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard. We measure our greenhouse gas emissions and offset them by purchasing Carbon Offset Credits in three Australian carbon farming projects that are fostering sustainable, regenerative land management practices across the country.
Our head office at 50 Flinders Street, Adelaide, is one of Australia’s greenest buildings, with a 6 Star NABERS Energy rating and 6 Star NABERS Indoor Environment rating.
With the support of you, our members, we’re endeavouring to mail out less paper each year. Along with eStatements, we're also working towards sending out more communications via email, and loan contracts can be signed digitally via DocuSign.We're B Corp certified.
We've achieved B Corp certification, joining a global movement for a better future. This not only recognises the work we're doing, but is also a commitment to continue that work – and do more.
The process of achieving B Corp looked at every aspect of our organisation. B Corp assessors analysed the way we interact with our members, employees, and communities, as well as our environmental impact and governance standards.

Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice
The Code
As a commitment to our customers People's Choice subscribes to the Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice, the code of practice for Australia’s mutual banks, credit unions and building societies. The Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice (Code) is a public expression of the level of support that subscribers will provide to its customers and the community, and the standards by which they be held accountable. It outlines clearly and transparently what a customer can expect when dealing with a Code subscriber.
The Code is underpinned by the following seven key promises. These promises are the principles that form the basis of the Code, informing all other provisions and obligations.
1. We will deliver banking services in the interests of our customers.
2. We will obey the law.
3. We will not mislead or deceive.
4. We will act honestly and fairly.
5. We will offer products and services that are fit for general purpose.
6. We will deliver services with reasonable care and skill.
7. We will contribute to our community.
