Our essential workers keep our communities safe. As they continue to do this during the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to show our appreciation and say thank you. This is why we've introduced our Essential Services Package, which helps eligible essential workers with home and investment loans.
How can the Essential Services Package help me?
The package offers the following benefits for both home and investment loans:
No LMI for up to 90% LVR
To avoid paying Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI), you generally need to have a 20% deposit, which gives you a Loan to Value Ratio (LVR) of 80%. With our Essential Services Package, you can borrow up to 90% LVR and we'll waive the LMI fee.
Discounted interest rate
Even if you're borrowing over 80% LVR, you'll be given a discounted interest rate for your home or investment loan. The maximum borrowed amount is 90% LVR.
Who is eligible for the Essential Services Package?
To be eligible, you'll need to be one of the following essential workers:
- A registered nurse
- A fully qualified paramedic
- A sworn in state or federal police officer
What else do I need to know?
To qualify for our Essential Services Package, you'll need to meet income requirements. These vary depending on a joint or sole application. For joint applications only one person is required to qualify - you don't both need to be essential workers.
