This list is the result of a survey of 49,000 people across 33 countries, in a partnership between Forbes and Statista. Respondents rated banks on the following five areas:

- Customer service
- Digital services
- Financial advice
All of these results were put into a scoring system that also considered last year's results and were weighted based on the recency of the data and the closeness of the respondent to the bank.
